To see if an article is indexed in Web of Science, go to https://www.webofscience.com/wos/woscc/basic-search (note: you may need access to Web of Science via your institution to get all features).

For best results, select DOI in the dropdown menu of the search and enter the DOI of the published content:

Please note that Web of Science does not index all journals.  If the article does not appear in Web of Science, please confirm that the journal is indexed by checking the Abstracting and Indexing section of the journal webpage.  If one of the four below services is included, this journal is indexed in Web of Science:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)
  • Social Science Citation Index (SSCI)
  • Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)
  • Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)

If the journal is indexed in Web of Science, the article should be visible in Web of Science within 4-6 weeks of publication.  If the article does not appear in Web of Science after 6 weeks, please email AIMissingContent@springernature.com and we will notify Web of Science regarding the missing content.
