If the journal publishes multiple issues per year, DOAJ will review each of the last two issues. If either of the last two issues has an endogeny rate of over 25%, the journal will be rejected.
If the journal just publishes one issue per year, DOAJ will review the previous calendar year (unless the journal is in its first year--then they will review the current year). DOAJ doesn't consider the cumulative/overall endogeny.
If the journal publishes multiple issues per year, DOAJ will evaluate each of the two most recent issues. If either of these most recent issues has an endogeny rate exceeding 25%, the journal will not meet the eligibility criteria. For journals that publish only one issue annually, DOAJ will assess the previous calendar year, unless the journal is in its inaugural year, in which case the current year will be reviewed. DOAJ does not take cumulative or overall endogeny rates into account when making its assessment.
