Delay in Google Scholar Indexing Due to Preprint

Created by Andrew Huffard, Modified on Fri, 16 Aug, 2024 at 1:56 PM by Andrew Huffard

Google Scholar has informed us that when a preprint is indexed ahead of final publication, there can sometimes be a delay for the final version to appear on Google Scholar--the short explanation for this is that entries indexed in Google Scholar for some time are updated less frequently than new entries.  Google Scholar expects articles like this to be indexed within the next few months, however we will track this with the Google Scholar team to ensure this is resolved as soon as possible.
